Situation
As Art Director for Australia’s leading motorcycle magazine, published fortnightly, I was responsible for maintaining high design standards in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Task
My role was to oversee visual direction, develop a cohesive style guide, and ensure every issue delivered engaging, high-quality design while meeting strict production schedules.
Action
I created detailed photoshoot briefs, collaborated closely with editorial teams, photographers, and external stakeholders, and implemented a comprehensive design style guide to ensure consistency across all issues. I balanced creativity with efficiency, applying strong time-management and organisational skills to meet recurring deadlines.
Result
The magazine achieved a consistent, recognisable visual identity and delivered compelling content issue after issue. My leadership elevated production workflows and strengthened the publication’s reputation for quality design under tight timelines.
